on 27th december 2008, my husband Mikka died. he was robbed and thrown to the river. some of you could have known him or have seen his wonderful and poetic b&w photographs of his daily life.

if not, you can check his gallery right now. it's worth seeing believe me!

(PLEASE READ THE RULES TILL THE END)

I decided to do a book in memory of him.
the little bear's book. in russian it is Мишкина книжка (Mishkina knizhka) what has double meaning - the little bear's book and Misha's book (that is Mikka's real name).


I ask everyone to take part and draw little bear for Mikka or for our 1 year old daughter who could watch them all later when she gets older.

doesn't metter if you are skilled in drawing or not. just do it with your heart.

the picture can be of any kind and style but it would be just great if it was drawn on real paper! i mean using real pens and pencils instead of photoshop or any other software..


things to keep in mind:

* white background (so all the bears could look good all together. it'll be one bear on a page)

* 300 dpi (the book will be published on paper)(it's approximetly 2500 PIXELS IN WIDTH!!!)

* write with your hand from who this bear is ( ex. "little bear from Maria" or "bear with flower from John")

it would be great if you also asked your friends to draw a bear for Mikka.

the bear can be different! NOT THE POLAR BEAR OR PANDA... but of any kind and colour)
